For over 25 years, Kathryn Walter has worked as an artist, designer, curator and educator. After completing a BA in Art History at Queens University (1985) and work and travel abroad, she went to Emily Carr College of Art and Design and began showing her work in 1989 in Vancouver galleries and public spaces. She moved to Montreal and completed an MFA in 1993 at Concordia University. In the mid 1990s she returned to her hometown of Toronto where she continues to work at the intersection of visual art, design and material culture through FELT, the company she founded in 2000. Here is a survey of projects from these years.
